I have always been a fan of organic skincare. Especially after learning of how harmful chemicals can be on the skin, I have always tried to stay organic and natural with whatever I put on my skin.
Most importantly, We always have to know what we are putting on our skin. I mean you would not eat a food you don’t know about its benefits or origins. So why, not do the same for your skin right?
So one of the brands that I have been zooming closely into lately is KORA by Miranda Kerr. I can’t deny, part of the fact why I had looked into this skincare line was also because I was yearning for great flawless skin like Miranda Kerr’s.
Recently, one of the newer products have caught my eye and that is the Age-Defying AHA Facial Exfoliator. I have been suffering from Dry, Acne problems for quite sometime. It is indeed quite a surprise to me that I am breaking out like this, especially at my age.
So definitely, products that I look into more than often are products that are great for treating acne problems.
AHA, also known as Alpha Hydroxy Acids essentially originate from milk and fruit sugars. The 2 most common AHA ingredients are lactic acid & glycolic acid. The main thing that AHA does to your skin is to exfoliate, essentially removing the old skin cells from the upper layer of your skin to help new skin grow.
However, if your skin is as sensitive as mine, always go for a product that contains only about 5% – 7% of AHA.
So going back to KORA‘s AHA Facial exfoliator, the main key ingredients are Chamomile, Oat, Green Tea, Olive, Noni & Aloe Vera plant extracts. One of the few ingredients that got me excited about this product is Noni.
Noni is an evergreen shrub that has been recently trending with #greenbeauties. Not saying that I am one, but I will love to believe that this ingredient is a holy grail! It has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidising properties, which, are great for Acne Prone Skin.
What’s more with the addition of Chamomile, Oats and Green Tea, it can only portray the idea to me that this product is really gentle and great for sensitive skin.
So, this product claims to leave your skin glowing, feeling soft and radiant. All you have to do is cleanse your face and apply this product onto dry skin, leave it to absorb into your skin for 5 minutes and wet your hands after, massage your skin till the product emulsifies to gently slough away the dead skin cells.
As of the moment, I have no idea of where to purchase this product locally. However, with the AUD’s recent drop, I can only say it is a great chance now to buy a few bottles of this to stock at home. Though, do be careful of expiry dates as expirations for Organic products can be quite a hassle.
Get your hands on the gentle exfoliator here, which will cost you around AUD$54.95 (SGD$55.45~)
Time to strike acne off my face & off my list of problems~ xoxo
